Edward White is rapidly gaining recognition as a successful composer of music for film. Although still young, at 31 years old he is already working on his fourth feature film ‘Indak’ which is set in the Philippines and tells the story of ‘the dancing prisoners of Cebu’ who became an online phenomenon when they performed Michael Jackson’s Thriller to the continuing delight of over 40 million You Tube viewers. The movie stars Patrick Bergin (Sleeping with the Enemy, Robin Hood) and features original choreography by Michael Jackson’s dance partner and choreographer, Cindera Che. Other feature film credits include the coming of age drama ‘Beautiful Wave’ which is set against the California surf scene and stars Lance Henriksen (The Terminator, Aliens, Pumpkinhead), Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) and Amy Teegarden, star of hit NBC show, ‘Friday Night Lights’. Edward also wrote the scores for ‘Bad Moon Rising’ which offers a chilling portrayal of kidnap and torture in Afghanistan; and supernatural thriller, ‘Nine Lives’, which stars the ever-infamous Paris Hilton (House of Wax, The Good Life). In addition to his feature film work, Edward provides music for commercials and corporate films for the likes of Vodafone, British Telecom and Barclays Bank to name but a few. He has written music for documentaries (‘In Search of David Jones’, ‘The Wayfarer’) and is the composer of numerous production music albums for JW Media Music, part of the Josef Weinberger Group. Keen to work with new emerging talent, Edward has worked on several short films – he is currently helping the Clemens Bros. with a promotional short for their feature film project, ‘The Lighter’ which features the voice talent of Sir Roger Moore. Other recent shorts include ‘Knock Off’ produced by James Levison of Daybreak Pictures which has been selected for the Athens International Film Festival making it worthy of Oscar® consideration and which subsequently won it’s Director, Roseanne Flynn, a Fullbright Award.
